Topping-out ceremony in Kelsterbach for FUJI MACHINE MFG. (EUROPE) GmbH

21. July 2017

The construction period of the new European headquarters of FUJI MACHINE MFG. (EUROPE) GmbH in Kelsterbach is record-breaking. While the ground-breaking ceremony took place on March 1st, the company celebrated yesterday the topping-out ceremony. Almost every day, the construction site on the territory of the new industrial estate “Staudenäcker” changes. The shell of building is completed. Completion of the outer contour of the building and all structural load-bearing components. The completion of the roof, masonry and concrete work allow a safe access. The notification of the bodywork completion is already submitted to the building supervisory authority. As it is mentioned in a current news at the website of Fuji Machine Europe from the still-based headquarters in Mainz-Kastel.

“I am pleased that the creation of our new European headquarters is making such good progress, and I’m thanking all those who have been involved in celebrating the topping-out ceremony today,” said Klaus Gross, Managing Director of Fuji Machine Europe. Gross handed over the microphone to the most important person that day – the carpenter Johannes Schmitz. Since almost no wood was used in the construction of the new European headquarters, the carpenter had adjusted his sentence accordingly.

Construction in record time

As construction manager Norbert Schmitz emphasized, everything went like clockwork. “We are already two days ahead of the plan,” confirmed the manager. He also praised the cooperation with the city of Kelsterbach, which certainly pleased the present Mayor Manfred Ockel, but also the other authorities. The construction project is created by the company Takanaka with seat in Duesseldorf and will be handed over turnkey to the company FUJI MACHINE MFG. (EUROPE) GmbH.A lot of glass

A lot of glass

“If everything goes according to plan, and that’s what it looks like, then the first employees can move in here in March next year,” explained project manager Britta Kessler. “All structural work is already finished and even the first windows are installed,” says the manager. Overall, a lot of glass is used in this construction. “The entire foyer with showroom will receive a glass front and on the office floor there is a patio, which is also surrounded by glass walls,” Britta Kessler describes the flooded building.
